Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion
Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) is a broad term that includes several concepts and practices related to the inclusion of traditionally underrepresented groups in academia. DEI consists of the following concepts: cultural Competence, equity, diversity and inclusion.

- Awareness of how these differences may affect interactions between people from different backgrounds.
- Sensitivity towards communication style differences between individuals from diverse backgrounds.
