Proof of Finances (Bank Statement)
- Proof of Finances (Bank Statement)
- The bank statement must be from the same bank as your student visa and be in your name, with your account number displayed. It must also show that you have a current account, not a savings account. If you do not have an American bank account yet, one can be opened at any time before or during enrollment at USC as long as it meets these criteria:
- Minimum Balance Required: USD 20,000
It is important to note that this amount does not include tuition or housing costs–it is only necessary for living expenses such as food and transportation.
Proof of income from all household members Proof of applicant’s legal residence in the U.S. Proof of payment for all household members
Students must fill out forms before their enrollment. Records can be found on the USC graduate admissions website and must be submitted to the USC office of graduate admissions.
Transcripts
- Transcripts are required for admission.
- They must be sent directly from the institution, in English, and in a sealed envelope with a cover sheet that includes your name, address and telephone number. If you have attended more than one school during your academic career–and this is not uncommon for international students–you must provide transcripts for each institution attended.
Additional documents may be required, depending on the type of degree you’re seeking and your country of origin.
