The University of Minnesota is a public research university with Minneapolis and Saint Paul, Minnesota campuses. The University of Minnesota offers over 200 majors and minors. The University has over 100 graduate programs, including the highly ranked Carlson School of Management, Mayo Clinic Graduate School, School of Medicine and Public Health, Law School and Medical School.
The College of Liberal Arts (CLA) at the University has more than 1,900 undergraduate students enrolled in its Bachelor of Arts degree program alone. Students can choose from a wide range of academic disciplines, including anthropology; architecture; art history; biology; classics; chemistry; communication sciences & disorders; computer science; criminal justice studies; dance/performance studies; economics & public policy analysis (EPPA); English language & literature/writing studies (ELLWS); environmental studies/geography.
Tuition and Fees
Your residency status determines the cost of attending the University of Minnesota, whether you are a domestic or international student and the program you are enrolled in. The tuition rate for undergraduate and graduate students will increase each year slightly due to inflationary pressures.

Financial Aid
The University of Minnesota’s financial aid is available for all students. This includes both undergraduate and graduate students and those who are in-state or out-of-state residents. Part-time students can also use financial aid, who may need to work while attending school.
The University offers a wide range of scholarships and grants from which you might be eligible to receive funding based on your academic performance, work experience and community involvement (if applicable). These awards do not have to be repaid!

The College of Continuing Education (CCE) at the UMN has offered online learning since 1999. They provide over 200 courses for adults in business, health care, career development and personal enrichment. The courses are taught by faculty members from across campus with expertise in their fields of study. The CCE also provides an extensive catalogue of online professional development opportunities for educators around Minnesota through its Professional Learning Network (PLN). This includes professional development seminars on technology integration, instructional strategies, assessment, managing disruptive behaviour, data analysis & interpretation, accountability reporting requirements under the No Child Left behind Act (NCLB) & Teacher Quality Standards Act (TQSA), special education law updates & more
