Contacting transfer admissions, which courses are eligible for credit and not suitable for credit
There are several ways to contact transfer admissions. You can call, email, or visit in person. The best way to get your questions answered is by visiting the office directly, as they can answer all questions regarding eligibility and course credit.
Transfer Admissions handles all transfers into Harvard University and will take all inquiries about your application process, eligibility and course credit requirements.
Applying early and ensuring you have all the documents needed is essential
- Applying early is the best way to ensure you get the most out of your college experience.
- Ensure you have all the documents needed before applying, including transcripts and test scores.
- You must apply to Harvard by the deadline of March 1 of each year (for fall admission).
- We require a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for transfer applicants and 2nd-semester first-year students applying from colleges outside Harvard University or its partner institutions.* You must have taken either SAT or ACT; we do not accept AP/IB/A-level credits for admission purposes.* If you’ve completed two years at another college or university (outside of Harvard), please review our Transfer Eligibility Requirements page for further information about what courses might count toward your degree program here at Harvard College!
