Harvard University offers a variety of tours for those interested in visiting our campus. The Harvard campus can be accessed by car and public transportation, including the MBTA Red Line subway (which has a stop at Harvard Square), buses and taxis. Tours are led by current students and alums who will give you an insider’s perspective on life at Harvard and provide information about admissions requirements, financial aid options and more!

To get to Harvard, take the red line to Massachusetts Avenue station and then follow the signs for “Harvard Square.” The walk from the station takes about 20 minutes. If you’re driving, several parking garages in Cambridge charge a flat rate during peak hours (6 a.m.-8 p.m.).
The Harvard campus can be accessed by car and public transportation
If you plan to drive, the Harvard campus can be accessed from Massachusetts Route 9 and Interstate 95. Parking near Harvard University is limited, but several parking lots are in the area. Public transportation is available via buses from Boston’s South Station and Logan Airport and subway lines 4 and 5 that stop at Harvard Square Station.

Tours are available. Tour providers include:
- Harvard University Museum of Natural History (HUMN) – a small museum that focuses on natural history, especially that of the Americas, including dinosaurs. The museum has exhibits about geology and palaeontology as well as live animals from around the world. The public can visit both permanent exhibitions and temporary ones that change every few months or so; some examples include “Dinosaurs Around the World,” “Extreme Mammals,” “Birds in Art,” and more! Tours are available in multiple languages (English/Spanish), for groups or families (up to 10 people), individuals who want privacy during their visit; tours are also offered for disabled visitors who may need special assistance getting around campus grounds or navigating stairs inside buildings due to mobility issues.*
