The collection includes over 40,000 volumes on Latin America, used by students, faculty and researchers at UT Austin and visiting scholars worldwide. It contains over 150,000 books and journals, 200,000 slides, prints and photographs (including over 100,000 art history and architecture periodicals). It has 4,000 square feet and houses more than 70,000 volumes. The Life Science Library also has an extensive collection of online journals that can be accessed from any computer with internet access or through our mobile app, UT EZproxy (iOS or Android).<\/p><p>The library\u2019s holdings include over 19,000 items within its physical space and access to more than 25,000 additional items through interlibrary loan Perry and Robert A. Castaneda. The library houses the most comprehensive collection of maps in Texas and one of North America\u2019s most extensive collections of Mexican-American studies materials. It also features an extensive collection of Texas history, including documents from Stephen F. Austin\u2019s colony, over 1 million photos, and rare books dating back to 1530 that President Lyndon B.
