The Health and Wellness Program at Princeton University is a comprehensive program that aims to promote the physical, mental and emotional well-being of our students, faculty and staff. We offer a wide range of resources, including primary care physicians (PCPs), nurse practitioners (NP), mental health professionals, including psychologists and psychiatrists who provide counselling services for individuals as well as groups; nutrition counselling; physical therapy; acupuncture; massage therapy; yoga classes; gym membership discounts at the Princeton Fitness Center on campus or at nearby locations such as Planet Fitness or Gold’s Gym if you don’t want to use university facilities but instead have your membership with another facility near campus.
Princeton University Health & Wellness
The Office of Health and Wellness at Princeton University is a resource to help students with their physical, mental and emotional well-being. The office offers a wide range of services, including:
- Health Services – A full-time nurse practitioner who can provide prescriptions, administer vaccines and offer general health advice
- Mental Health and Wellness Services – Counselors who assist with personal issues such as stress management or life planning
- Disability Services – Staff that will help you navigate university policies regarding accommodations for physical disabilities
- Child Care – Assistance finding child care on campus or off
Health Services
The Health Center provides a wide range of services, including:
- Primary care (including paediatrics)
- Urgent care
- Physical therapy and occupational therapy
In addition to these primary services, the Health Center also offers a wide range of health education programs.
Mental Health and Wellness Services
Mental Health and Wellness Services offer various services and resources to help you cope with stress, depression, anxiety and other mental health concerns. We provide individual counselling, group therapy and workshops.
Disability Services
Disability Services provides a wide range of services to support students with documented disabilities who require accommodations to participate in the Princeton community. Disability Services works with students, faculty and staff members to identify appropriate accommodations for each individual’s needs.
In addition, Disability Services offers information about disability-related policies, procedures, services and resources at Princeton University; advocates for equal access for all people; coordinates training programs for faculty/staff members who work with students with disabilities; provides guidance in developing reasonable academic adjustments or accommodations on an individual basis; coordinates outreach events focused on increasing awareness within campus communities about issues related to diversity (e.g., race/ethnicity).
Child Care
Child Care is available for children ages three months to 12 years. Childcare facilities are available both on and off campus for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students.Child Care is also available for students who are employed off campus.
