Application Process

Application Process

After applying to your chosen graduate program, you need to complete an online application. This will require you to provide information about yourself and your educational background. You will also be asked if any of the following apply:

  • Are you currently enrolled in a high school or college? If so, please provide proof of enrollment at that institution.
  • Do you have any disabilities that may affect your ability to perform in this program? If so, please describe them here.

Once all required documents are submitted, it is essential for applicants who meet the minimum requirements for admission into their chosen program(s) but do not meet required test scores (GRE/TOEFL) or GPA/GPA range (MBA) as outlined by PSU’s Graduate Admissions Committee Policy Guidelines on Academic Requirements for Admission Into PSU Graduate Programs (https://www.pdxscholarworks .com/pdxscholarworks/handle/103554101085 ) may be considered for conditional acceptance into the Graduate School provided they follow these steps:

Requirements for Graduate Admissions

Requirements for Graduate Admissions

  • Undergraduate GPA
  • GRE Scores (if applicable)
  • TOEFL Scores (if applicable)
  • Letters of Recommendation: 2-3 letters are required. At least one letter should be from your academic advisor or professor. The others can be from professors who taught you directly or employers you’ve worked for. If you have no teachers or employers to recommend you, ask family members or friends who know about your achievements in college or work experience to write one on their recommendation letter.
  • Statement of Purpose: This essay explains why PSU is a good fit for the applicant’s academic goals and interests and how they will contribute to campus life once enrolled at PSU as a graduate student! You should include what area(s) of study interest them most; why they want to pursue this degree at PSU; any research projects currently underway; future career plans explicitly related again to those topics mentioned above, too–if anything comes up during a conversation between now until graduation day itself then don’t hesitate to share those details here either! These factors will help determine whether we admit applicants based solely on these criteria alone…
Current and Previous Graduate Students

Graduate students can access the same application, admission process, and financial aid as new students. They must also meet all admission requirements for their study program (s). The only difference between current and previous graduate students is that current students will be considered for an assistantship if they apply by the deadlines specified in their department’s handbook or website and meet all other criteria needed for consideration.
