The College of Arts and Sciences at Ohio State offers a rich array of opportunities for students to study in one of the country’s largest and most diverse schools.
The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest College at Ohio State, offering over 180 majors and minors. It has one of the highest graduation rates in the country, with nearly 90 per cent of its students graduating within six years. The College’s diverse student body includes more than 3,000 undergraduates from all 50 states and more than 50 countries worldwide–, and that’s just on campus!

The College of Arts & Sciences has a rich history dating back to its founding as Franklin College in 1802 by President Thomas Jefferson (who was also responsible for founding UVA). Over time, it has evolved into what we know today: a thriving community where students engage with their peers through research groups; participate in events like poetry slams or silent discos; take advantage of opportunities like study abroad trips or co-op jobs; participate in teams representing them at competitions across America…and much more!

The application process is straightforward: complete the online form with all required materials by February 1st for fall admission or November 1st for spring admission; submit official transcripts from each college/university attended as well as test scores from either the ACT or SAT (or both); provide two letters of recommendation from teachers who know you well; and pay any necessary fees.* Please note that we require official documents such as transcripts and test scores even if they were sent directly from another institution; we accept applications year-round and encourage applicants who plan so they can receive decisions before May 31st!

The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest College at Ohio State, offering a wide range of majors, minors and programs. In addition to its traditional areas of study, such as biology and chemistry (the College’s first two majors), it also houses some less common ones, including computational linguistics or molecular genetics. The College has been named one of the most diverse schools in America by U.S News & World Report five years running due to its high percentage of minority students–3 out of every four students identify as non-white!

The College has 24 research centres, institutes and initiatives that support research efforts across campus:
