The Tisch School of the Arts is a part of New York University, one of the most highly regarded universities in the United States. Tisch offers undergraduate and graduate programs in acting, design for stage and screen, dance composition and performance, filmmaking, musical theatre writing/directing and production design for film/television/video games.

Athletics

The Tisch School of the Arts is a member of NCAA Division III. The school has 14 varsity sports teams, three men’s and 11 women’s.

The men’s baseball team is one of the most successful in its history, winning three straight national championships from 2001-2003 and again in 2010. The women’s softball team also won two consecutive titles from 1999-2000 and again from 2001-2002.

The NYU Tisch School of the Arts is a private, non-profit university that offers undergraduate and graduate degrees. It has the largest enrollment of any conservatory in the United States. It offers over 50 majors and minors across its four divisions (the Drama Division, Musical Theatre Division, Design & Production Division, and Film/Television).

The school was founded in 1965 as part of New York University by philanthropist John D. Rockefeller III with a mission to create an institution “to foster an understanding of all aspects of theatre through research into its history; its literature; its development as an art form; its practice by actors; directors; designers; musicians; playwrights…and other allied professionals.”

Admissions
