Expectations for admitted students

Now that you’ve been admitted, it’s time to get started on your NYU experience! Make sure you are prepared for the following:

  • Attend the Admitted Student Event: This is a mandatory event hosted by our Office of Undergraduate Admissions on May 3 at 6 p.m. in Bobst Library. You’ll meet with other admitted students and tour campus with current students who will answer any questions you may have about life at NYU. It’s an excellent opportunity to learn more about what makes NYU unique and what it means to be an NYU student.
  • Meet With Your Academic Counselor: When you arrive on campus for Orientation Week (July 28- August 2), make sure that one of your first stops is meeting with your academic counsellor from OAD! They will discuss educational plans with each student during their visit to help guide each student toward success both inside and outside the classroom throughout their time here at NYU Tandon School of Engineering!
  • Meet With Your Financial Aid Counselor: Financial aid counsellors are available during Orientation Week for all admitted students who require additional information about how money works within our financial aid program(s). These sessions will be held daily between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. (some exceptions may apply), so please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about these meetings!
