Welcome to the NYU Faculty & Staff portal.
Welcome to the NYU Faculty & Staff portal! This is where all faculty and staff can access important information about their employment, including benefits and payroll. The NYU Portal is a single sign-on tool that allows you to access our web applications with one username and password. It provides secure access to campus systems (Blackboard, Canvas) via Single Sign-On (SSO). Please note that if you are an administrator in an NYU department who manages users in another system, such as Blackboard or Canvas, you may need separate accounts for each design. Please contact us at help@nyu.edu if you have any questions about this process or other matters related to your use of our services.
Get Started
To change your password, click on the “Log In” button at the top right corner of any page on NYU websites (Google Chrome users may have to refresh their browser). You will see an option called “Change Password” underneath your username field; select it and follow the prompts from there!
If all else fails… call our friendly staff at 212-998-7000 or help@nyu.edu, who can assist with resetting or changing passwords!
Your Quick Guide
You can access the Faculty & Staff portal in several ways:
- Sign in to NYU Home (your NYU email account) and click “My portal.” If you still need to register for this service, please do so at https://nyuhome.nyu.edu/portal/v2/registration/.
- Use your NetID (a unique identifier) and password when prompted to log into any web application that requires authentication by an employee or faculty member at NYU.
You may also use this guide as a reference for accessing other applications from within the portal, such as MyCalendar or MyBenefits:
The Basics
The NYU Faculty & Staff portal is a secure online tool that allows you to access your personal information, check your payroll and benefits, make payments, view your timecard and more. The purpose of this website is to provide you with easy access to all of these features from a single location. This will allow you to manage your finances more effectively and efficiently!
On-Campus Services
- NYU Libraries: The library system has an extensive collection of print and electronic resources, including books, journals, databases and more.
- NYU Bookstores: Three on-campus locations offer textbooks, school supplies and gifts.
- Student Health Center: Offers physical and mental health services to NYU students, faculty and staff members by appointment only. Visit their website for more information about hours of operation or to make an appointment online here!
- Athletics: The Department of Athletics offers a wide range of sports programs for students from beginner to competitive athletes (see the NYU Recreation Center). If you’re interested in joining any team or activity within the department but don’t know where to start, please get in touch with them directly via email at nyuathletics@nyuadmissions.org
Off-Campus Services
- Off-campus services are available for NYU faculty and staff.
- NYU Libraries: The University Library System is one of the largest academic library systems in the United States, with more than 2 million volumes in its collections.
- NYU Bookstores: Located across campus, these stores offer textbooks, supplies, gifts and more at competitive prices. You can buy or rent books online through NYU Bookstore Digital Textbook Rental (DTBR).
- NYU Health: For your health care needs–from primary care physicians to specialists–visit one of our many medical centres in New York City or an affiliated hospital emergency room if you’re experiencing a medical emergency during non-business hours.*NYU Transportation Services provides safe and reliable transportation around campus 24 hours a day.*
We also provide excellent opportunities for professional growth through our continuing education programs; student internships; postdoctoral fellowships; mentoring by senior scholars; access to cutting-edge technology at our science and engineering labs on both campuses; involvement with significant projects such as those funded by federal agencies such as NASA or NIH (National Institutes of Health); membership in academic societies like AAAS (American Association for Advancement of Science); attendance at conferences around the world where you can present your research findings–or those produced by students working under your supervision!
