Non-degree-seeking opportunities

The University of New York (NYU) is a non-degree-seeking educational facility for people who want to learn about the university. It’s not an official program, but it is an excellent way for students to explore the School and its resources. Would you be interested in pursuing an NYU degree at a later point? In that case, this can be an excellent step in that direction!

The Business Bridge Program

The Business Bridge Program is a one-year program that provides MBA-level courses to students interested in pursuing an MBA degree. Students can take accounting, finance, marketing, management and strategy classes, operations and organisational behaviour.

Students must apply for admission into the program during their first semester of study at NYU Stern School of Business (Stern). Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the year; however, all applications must be received by March 15th (for Fall admission) or October 15th (for Spring admission).

Summer Studies

Summer Studies is a program for students who want to take courses at NYU in the summer. Students from other colleges and universities, as well as international students, are welcome to apply.

The Summer Studies program offers opportunities for undergraduates worldwide to study at NYU during their break from school. You’ll earn credits toward your degree while taking classes on campus or online with faculty members who are experts in their fields–and all tuition costs are covered by your home institution!

The Global Liberal Arts Program (GLAP)

The Global Liberal Arts Program (GLAP) is a non-degree-seeking program for students who have already graduated from college and want to study at NYU. This program is open to anyone who has completed an undergraduate degree or will be within the following year.

The Global Liberal Arts Program offers students the opportunity to take courses in any of NYU’s schools, including Tisch School of the Arts, Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development; School of Law; College Of Nursing; Stern School Of Business; Center For Services & Social Action; Institute For European Studies And more!

NYU Study Abroad Programs

NYU has various options for non-degree students studying abroad, including the Global Network Seminars and Global Liberal Arts Program. The former offers short-term study abroad opportunities worldwide. At the same time, the latter is a yearlong program that allows students to take courses in multiple countries. NYU also offers summer programs at its Shanghai campus (established in 2012), where classes are taught in Mandarin Chinese.

Global Network Seminars

The Global Network Seminars are a series of seminars open to students who are not currently in a master’s program. They’re run by the Global Network Program, which aims to build bridges between NYU and other universities worldwide.

The seminars are great opportunities to learn about different cultures and meet people around the globe, but they also come at no cost! You can sign up for any of these seminars anytime during your academic career at NYU (you don’t have to be enrolled in them).

Study Groups and Tutorials (Self-Paced Learning)

Self-paced learning is a great way to learn on your own time. You can take classes that are not offered at NYU, and you can learn from anywhere in the world. Self-paced learning also allows students to take time off between high school and college to continue their education without waiting for a class schedule that fits into their busy lives or careers.

In addition, many different types of self-paced study groups are available through NYU Steinhardt’s Online Learning Center (OLC). This includes but is not limited to the following:

study groups where students work together on assignments and receive feedback on their work;
tutorial sessions where one instructor provides direct support for students who need help with a particular topic

Summer Seminars at NYU Shanghai

Summer is a great time to explore new subjects and learn from top faculty. At NYU Shanghai, we offer a wide selection of summer seminars that allow you to take advantage of our world-class faculty’s expertise and insight into important topics in their fields. For example, if you’re interested in learning about Chinese politics or culture, consider joining one of our courses on Chinese contemporary art or Contemporary China: A History Since 1949 (an online course). If you’d like to study abroad but lack time off work. Yet, this year, consider taking advantage of our semester-long programs where students live on campus while taking classes and participating in cultural activities throughout Asia’s largest city, Hong Kong!

NYU Shanghai also offers internships throughout China during summer months when many businesses are closed due to holidays, so fewer applicants are competing against each other for positions available now than later this year when everyone else comes back from vacationing somewhere hot like Bali Indonesia, Indonesia Indonesia.

There are several opportunities for students not currently in the master’s program to take classes

NYU offers a variety of non-degree-seeking opportunities. The School of Professional Studies (SPS) provides more than 100 programs, including classes in business, healthcare management, psychology and more. The School also has certificate programs that can be completed at your own pace through online learning or in person at one of SPS’s campuses nationwide.

NYU’s Summer Sessions program offers undergraduate and graduate courses during the summer months when most students are away from campus. You can choose from over 250-course offerings each year!
