NYU offers various courses, including part-time, weekend and evening classes.
Part-time courses are more flexible and expensive than weekend or evening courses. Weekend and evening classes allow you to take classes on nights or weekends without worrying about losing a day of work. However, they are less flexible because they require students to stay in Manhattan during the weekdays when most people have jobs or other obligations.
NYU’s Continuing Education department has offered continuing education programs since 1832 when NYU was called the University of the City of New York (UCNY). Today, it provides over 300 noncredit programs yearly, from art appreciation classes for children to business seminars for adults looking for career advancement opportunities.
