Transcripts
Transcripts are required for all applicants. Please upload your transcripts in PDF, preferably by submitting hard copies or paper transcripts.
- Transcripts must be sent directly from the institution to NYU.
- Transcripts must be submitted online via the Common Application by February 1.
- We cannot accept electronic versions of paper documents (such as scans), so please make sure your university submits them directly and does not send them electronically themselves! This may require contacting your Registrar’s Office for more information about how best to offer them and any additional fees associated with sending official documents through their office versus sending them yourself via mail or courier service (if applicable). If you have questions about how best to submit official records from abroad.
NYU’s internal transfer students find that their transition from one school to another is seamless, thanks to the university’s standard approach and admissions process
For example, if you apply as an undergraduate and get into NYU Steinhardt with a 3.7 GPA but decide to change your major or pursue another concentration at Tisch School of the Arts (Tisch). We will consider your application for admission through our internal transfer process
