The NYU Stern School of Business offers undergraduate degrees in business administration, finance and accounting, marketing and management information systems. The school also offers an accelerated BS/MS program for students who want to earn both degrees in five years.

The NYU Tandon School of Engineering offers undergraduate degrees in computer science; electrical engineering; mechanical engineering; civil engineering; construction management; industrial engineering; materials science & engineering; biomedical engineering; computer vision & robotics lab (CVRL); aerospace studies (AS) as well as a minor in technology entrepreneurship. Students can also participate in the following co-op programs: Computer Science Co-op Program (CSCP), Electrical Engineering Co-Op Program (EECP), and Mechanical Engineering Co-Op Program (MECP).

NYU’s School of Professional Studies offers two types of bachelor’s degree programs: Bachelor Degrees by Completion or BDCs, which allow students who have completed 60 credits but have yet to earn their degree with an additional 30 honours within a semester’s time frame. In contrast, earn credit towards their degree through these courses offered at the school, such as BA/BS degrees available through “Dual Degree Programs”, where students complete two majors in four years rather than six years which gives them more time after graduation before entering the workforce or graduate school if desired without sacrificing quality education provided by both schools involved.”

Education & Health-Related Fields

The Steinhardt School of Education offers undergraduate programs in elementary education, early childhood education, special education and educational policy.

The Tandon School of Engineering offers a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science; students can also earn a minor in computer science.

Humanities & Social Sciences

The humanities and social sciences study human behaviour, society and culture. You can choose from more than 50 majors in this study area at New York University. Some examples include anthropology, history, literature, psychology, sociology or social work.

If you are interested in one of these fields but have yet to decide which major is right for you, don’t worry! There are many ways to begin exploring your interests while taking classes at NYU that help guide your decision-making process (like our Introduction to Humanities).

Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM)

If you’re interested in a degree leading to a good job, STEM degrees are an excellent choice. The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that employment opportunities for STEM workers will continue to grow over the next decade–by 12% for computer scientists and analysts, 14% for mathematicians and statisticians and 18% for engineers.

For example, A recent study found that software developers with bachelor’s degrees earned an average salary of $84k per year in 2015 (up from $77k the previous year).
