International students are eligible for scholarships at IUPUI. Different types of scholarships vary in eligibility and amount, so you should consider which type best fits your situation. Here’s a quick overview of how to find funding opportunities as an international student at IUPUI:

Undergraduate Students

IUPUI has several scholarships for international students. These are awarded based on academic performance, need and involvement in activities outside the classroom. Scholarships are renewable for up to 8 semesters if you maintain your GPA (grade point average) of 3.5 or higher.

Additionally, there are also several graduate-level awards available through IUPUI’s Office of International Affairs that may apply to you if you’re using for an M.S. or PhD degree:

External Funding Opportunities

  • You can also apply for external funding opportunities. IUPUI is a member of the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES) and the National Consortium for Graduate Degrees for Minorities in Engineering and Science (GEM).

    Many international students find that these organizations provide opportunities to fund their studies through grants, fellowships, and scholarships.

    IUPUI is also a member of the Association of International Educators (NAFSA) and has an active international student organization, the IU-India Students’ Association.

Tuition & Fees

  • The tuition and fees for international students at IUPUI differ from those of domestic students. Attending IUPUI costs $10,000 per year for undergraduate students and $18,000 for graduate students. This includes tuition and fees only; it does not include room and board or books (which can add up to another $10,000).
