Scholarships and financial aid

  • IUPUI offers many scholarships and financial aid options. You’ll want to apply for scholarships soon if you’re an incoming student. The earlier in the year you use for awards, the more likely it is that IUPUI’s Scholarship Committee will consider your application.

Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, leadership skills and community involvement. Scholarships range from $1,000-$10,000 annually for up to four years of undergraduate enrollment at IUPUI (excluding summer sessions).

  • Academic Scholarships: Academic scholarships recognize high school seniors with exceptional academic records who plan on majoring in one of our undergraduate programs at IUPUI; they typically require an application process but have no minimum GPA requirement.*

Athletic Scholarships: Athletic scholarships recognize students who compete at a varsity level in any sport offered by one of our schools or colleges.* Special Talent Scholarships: These awards are given to those with outstanding talent beyond academics or athletics.*

Honors College

  • The Honors College is committed to helping you achieve your academic goals and become a successful student, scholar and citizen. We offer a variety of programs and services that will help ensure your success.

The Honors College at IUPUI provides an academically rigorous environment where students can access resources that support their intellectual development. Students in the Honors College participate in various activities, including study abroad programs, internships with local companies or government agencies, research projects with faculty members on campus or off-campus locations (including international locations), community service activities related to their academic interests as well as social events where they can meet other students who share similar interests or backgrounds.

Credit transfers & graduate applications

  • If you’re applying to IUPUI as a transfer student, we want to ensure your credits are transferred. If you’ve taken classes at another college or university, contact the Admissions Office for information about transferring those credits into our degree programs.

International students

International students may be required to submit additional documentation. International students must also submit a TOEFL or IELTS score if they have yet to attend an accredited U.S. institution for at least one year.

Because of this, we encourage international applicants who are interested in attending IUPUI and who have questions about the application process or financial aid options to contact us early on in their academic journey so that we can help ensure that you receive all of the information necessary to make informed choices about your future education plans.
