Freshmen meetings

Freshmen Meetings allow admitted first-year students to meet with an academic advisor and get advice about the transition to IUPUI.

These meetings are held in the fall and spring semesters for students who have been admitted to IUPUI, so if you’re interested in attending one, please get in touch with us at admissions@iupui.edu!

Transfer student meetings

Transfer student meetings are held in the fall and spring. If you have already been accepted to IUPUI, your transfer counsellor will invite you to a meeting at the end of August. If you have been admitted but have not decided where to attend, your admission counsellor will contact you about upcoming transfer student meetings in October or November. The purpose of these meetings is for us to get to know each other better and answer any questions that may still be lingering after reading this guidebook!

The meeting is a great way to learn about IUPUI, meet other transfer students, and get answers to any questions you may have. You will also receive information about financial aid, housing options and scholarships for incoming transfer students.

  • To use as a freshman, transfer student or international student, see the appropriate section of this guide below:

Financial Aid

Financial aid is available to qualified students who demonstrate financial need. The amount of assistance you may receive is based on your family’s ability to pay for college. It will be determined by the information you provide on your application for admission.

If you apply for financial aid by the dates listed below, we will review your application as soon as possible after they are received. Once we have reviewed your application and other supporting documents (such as tax returns), we will notify you if you qualify for any aid at IUPUI or elsewhere in the Indiana University system.
