Donor-funded scholarships

  • Donor-funded scholarships: These are awarded by donors who want to give back to their alma mater and help current students pay for college. They’re often given out based on specific criteria, such as financial need or being a minority student.
  • Athletic scholarships: If you’re an athlete looking for money to play ball, you can apply for athletic scholarships at schools nationwide (and even internationally). This includes both men’s and women’s sports teams, so if basketball isn’t your thing but baseball sounds like fun, there are still options for you!
  • Music scholarships: Are music school dreams in your future? If so, consider applying for one of these awards from IUPUI’s School of Music! The application process includes submitting recordings of yourself playing an instrument. Don’t worry about getting nervous about doing well on the test because everyone has access to practice rooms to rehearse beforehand!
  • First-generation college student scholarship program: This award is open only to high school seniors whose parents did not attend college; however, there are no other requirements beyond demonstrating financial need before receiving funding from this source.”

Departmental and program scholarships

  • Departmental and program scholarships are awarded by the department or program, not the university.
  • Students with a solid academic record who have demonstrated a commitment to their field of study may be eligible for these scholarships.
