Online Learning

The School of Professional Studies (SPS) offers online and hybrid courses through their Continuing Education program. These courses are available to anyone, not just Columbia students or alumni.

Online learning is also available through Columbia, an independent entity founded by Columbia University that offers free online data science and computer science courses.

The Center for Teaching and Learning supports faculty members who wish to develop their teaching skills and resources for improving student learning outcomes in on-campus classes.

The above-listed courses are the most common ones that you can find at Columbia University. However, many other courses are also offered in different departments of this prestigious university. MS Express

  • MS Express is a part-time program.
  • It is designed for working professionals who can complete the program in one year.
  • The coursework is offered in the evening and summer terms

Integrated BS/MS Programs

  • Students in the BS/MS program will be expected to complete the following courses during their first two years at Columbia:

    • Calculus I, II and III or Math Analysis I, II and III (or equivalent)
    • Differential Equations with Linear Algebra (a required course)
