The University of Arizona is a public research university in Tucson, Arizona. Founded in 1885 and opened for classes in 1891 as the Territorial University of Arizona, the University was established under the Morrill Land-Grant Acts of 1862 and 1890 to provide for the higher education of Arizona’s residents.

Professional Doctorate Programs (e.g., M.D.) Optional Fees: Student Services Fee – US$535 per semester ($845 for two semesters). This fee covers access to student services such as disability support services and career coaching. The Student Services Fee is mandatory for all students enrolled in the 2019/2020 academic year unless they are eligible for financial aid or if their course is fully sponsored by an external body, e.g., an industry partner or government agency.
Admissions
The University of Arizona has a very competitive admissions process. Applicants must submit a completed application, official transcripts and test scores, letters of recommendation, and other documents found on the U.A. website.
The application deadline is December 1st for an Early Decision plan or February 1st for a Regular Decision. The University also has to roll admission if you are still determining when you want to start your studies but do want them by June 30th following high school graduation (or equivalent). If you are interested in attending U.A. as an international student, there are specific requirements that must be met before applying:
- You must have earned at least one year (30 credits) at another college or University outside the United States;
- You must have completed all required prerequisites for admission;

Placements
The University of Arizona has a dedicated placement cell that works with students to help them find jobs after graduation. The University has several employment opportunities for students in different fields, including engineering, business administration and healthcare. Students can take advantage of the many career fairs organized by the University or approach employers directly to secure internships during their final year at U.A.
