Degree Requirements

Certificate of Degree

If you’re looking for a way to get your foot in the door, a certificate is an excellent way of earning credentials without paying for an entire degree program. A certificate can be earned after 30-60 credits, typically taking one year to complete.

Certificates are offered in many fields, including business administration, computer science, education, graphic design, nursing, psychology, public health & safety management (police academy), sports management, tourism studies and more!

The benefits of earning a certificate include higher Pay check than those who only have high school diplomas or GEDs–especially if you decide on getting specialized training like nursing or teaching certificates, which require specific education requirements before being able to practice them professionally.

Master’s Degree

A master’s degree is a postgraduate academic credential that can be earned after you have completed a bachelor’s degree. Earning a master’s degree shows employers that you are committed to continuing your education, and it gives them confidence in your ability to perform at high levels of responsibility.

Master’s programs vary depending on the field of study but generally require 30-36 credit hours of coursework beyond the baccalaureate level. Master’s degrees often require a written thesis or project work and comprehensive exams with comprehensive oral defence presentations before an examination committee of faculty members from various departments within the school or college where you are enrolled.

Bachelor’s Degree

You must complete 120 credit hours of coursework in specific subject areas to get your bachelor’s degree. You can learn more about these requirements by visiting our website or contacting us directly at email.

How long will it take me to finish my degree?

The length of time it takes you to complete your degree depends on several factors: how much time you spend studying and working each week, whether or not you take extra courses during the summer months (which may be required for some majors), whether or not there are any delays due to illness or other circumstances beyond your control…the list goes on! That said, most students typically graduate within four years; however, some might require more than five years’ worth of study before receiving their diploma. If this concerns you, talk with an advisor before enrolling so they can help guide your path toward graduation efficiently while keeping costs down at all times possible.

Graduate Certificate

  • The University of Arizona offers a variety of graduate certificates in select areas of study.
  • You can apply for a graduate certificate through the Graduate Admissions Office or by contacting your department directly.
  • Most programs take one year to complete and cost between $10,000 and $20,000, depending on the program and how many courses are required.
  • Prerequisites vary from program to program; however, most students must have earned an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university before applying for admission into a certificate program at U of A.

The University of Arizona offers graduate specializations in several disciplines, including education, business administration, and nursing. Occupations usually require 6-9 hours of coursework and can be completed in one semester.

Specialization courses are offered in the evening, so they’re great options for working professionals who need evening or weekend classes. Specialization courses are taught by faculty from the department and other departments and UA graduate students with expertise in their respective fields.

The Arizona Board of Regents has created rules and regulations that govern all public universities in Arizona; you may also want to check out their website for more information about what it means to be an undergraduate student at one of these schools (including UA). Arizona Board of Regents Rules and Regulations

The Arizona Board of Regents Rules and Regulations provide a framework for the operation of Arizona’s three public universities–the University of Arizona, Northern Arizona University and Arizona State University. The University of Arizona Graduate Academic Regulations govern graduate studies at the university. They define admission requirements, procedures for applying to graduate school and requirements for students who wish to pursue doctoral degrees. The undergraduate academic regulations are similar but apply only to undergraduates enrolled in an undergraduate program (i.e., not graduate students).

University of Arizona Academic Calendar

The academic year at the University of Arizona is divided into two semesters. The fall semester runs from August to December, and the spring semester begins in late January and ends in early May. Summer sessions run from June through August, with some exceptions depending on what you’re taking.

How long will it take to finish my degree?

The time it takes to finish your degree depends on how many credits you take and how quickly you spend them. The more credits you take, the longer it will take. Another factor is whether or not one of your classes has an accelerated pace–that is, if it meets for only two weeks instead of three or four weeks like most other classes do.

The best way to figure out how long it will take for any given class is by looking at its syllabus online or talking with a professor about their expectations for attendance and participation in weekly discussions.
