Application Process

Application Process

The application process for fall and begins in August, and the deadline to submit your application is October 15. The university accepts applications online only, so be sure you have access to a computer or mobile device before starting the process.

You’ll need to pay an application fee of $60 when you submit your application–the money goes toward processing fees associated with processing your transcript and sending admissions materials out to schools that request them, among other things. You can pay by credit card or PayPal account (a free service).

Graduate students must apply by December 1; undergraduate students admitted after October 15 will be reviewed on a space-available basis.

Application Fees

Application Fee: $75 (non-refundable)

International Student Application Fee: $25

Secondary School Report: $25 (optional)

ACT or SAT Test: $40 (optional)

TOEFL/IELTS Test Scores: $40 (optional).

After submitting your application, you will receive an email asking you to pay these fees online. If you cannot pay with a credit card or want to mail a check instead, please let us know in the “Notes” section when checking out, and will help set up payment options for you! Please note that if your application is incomplete because of missing items such as test scores or transcripts, university can only guarantee that it will be processed once those requirements have been met.

Deferring Admission

If you’ve been admitted to the University of Arizona but would like to defer your admission for one year, university would be happy to help. To defer enrolment at U.A.:

  • Submit a new application and fee by April 1. A $75 non-refundable application fee is required for all new applicants who wish to enrol or any other semester/term by April 1. If you have already paid an application fee for another college or university, this does not count toward your total amount due.
  • Provide proof of graduation from high school or GED (if applicable). Transcripts must include final grades through spring; if they do not reflect this information because summer courses have yet to be graded,  then attachments may be used instead.

These are the basics of applying to the University of Arizona.

To apply to the University of Arizona, you must be a high school student who has completed at least one year of college or community college. You can also apply if you are currently enrolled in an undergraduate program outside of Arizona that is not regionally accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (e.g., Western Association of Schools and Colleges).

If you’re eligible and interested in attending U.A., here’s what to do:

  • Fill out the application form online. There’s no application deadline; however, the university recommend applying early! You will need your official transcripts from all schools attended, and SAT scores sent directly from the College Board or ACT scores sent directly from ACT Incorporated.  Submit payment for the application fee ($75) via credit card or check payable to “University Of Arizona”. The university accept checks only if they include two forms (front & back) showing proof of photo I.D. and signature. Mail any additional required materials such as transcripts/test scores directly from each institution attended since graduating high school
